By day, Martin teaches English at Mountain View College, but has dedicated much of his evenings and weekends to following his second vocation, namely singing. He has served as a Cantor at the Church of the Incarnation at the University of Dallas in Irving for more than 20 years, and he sang for many seasons with the internationally acclaimed Turtle Creek Chorale. In recent years, he has expanded into opera and musical theatre. His favorite roles include: Kevin Rosario in IN THE HEIGHTS at Artes de La Rosa; Ciccio in THE MOST HAPPY FELLA at Lyric Stage; and Sky Masterson in GUYS AND DOLLS, Thomas Andrews in TITANIC, and Walter in CHESS, all of which were produced by Brookhaven College. His classical work includes chorus/ensemble roles for the following companies: The Dallas Opera, the Fort Worth Opera Festival, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Martin is also grateful for all the angels who have appeared in his life to keep him from despair. “To each his Dulcinea”.
