(Constable Locke, Train Conductor)
is always grateful when Plaza gives him a chance to come home, especially in a stupendous show like THE MUSIC MAN. Ted was last seen as Harry Trevor/Baptista Minola in KISS ME KATE, but has a special place in his heart for the role of Mr. Fezziwig in Plaza’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL. “To God be the glory. Great things he has done.”

TOM COCKERELL, JR.
(Olin Britt)
is pleased to be in his third production at Plaza. He was previously seen in THE SOUND OF MUSIC and SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN. This particular show is fun for Tom because he gets to share the stage with his daughter, Daron and his father Tom Sr. and also his wife, Patti who is the stage manager. Working with fellow quartet members Dick, Aaron, Andrew, Guy and our music director, Mary Helen was a great experience. Tom thanks his sister, Pam, for making THE MUSIC MAN’s music easy to learn. He recalls fondly years ago when he was young how Pam revealed to him her discovery that Meredith Willson hid repeated melodies throughout the music. To this day she knows she is the sole steward of this secret and to her credit has never revealed it to anyone else but me for fear of embarrassing Mr. Willson.

TOM COCKERELL, SR.
(Ensemble)
is performing in his first production at Plaza Theatre. He is the patriarch of a musical family that includes in this show, Daron, Patti and Tom, Jr. Other members of his family are also musically talented and participants in numerous production activities throughout Texas. Music comes easy to Tom whose mother was a respected classical pianist and his father who was an accomplished violinist. Performing in THE MUSIC MAN is fun for Tom who has played the trombone for most of his life in a variety of musical settings ranging from classical to jazz. He believes he may well have been one of the original “76 trombones”. He thanks JaceSon, Tina, Aaron, Milette and Shauna for their support. Tom, Patti and Daron thank him for handling the driving on those many afternoons as we scrambled to Cleburne for rehearsals.
