This is Luke's 26th production at Plaza Theatre Company and he is honored to be playing Dickens for the 2nd time in this holiday classic having played it previously in 2010. He has appeared on the Plaza stage as Long John Silver in TREASURE ISLAND, Froggy LeSeuer in THE FOREIGNER (for which he won a 2013 Column Award for best featured actor in a non-equity play), himself and a few other people in THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (abridged), The Duke/Dr. Carrasco in MAN OF LA MANCHA, and most recently as Stanley Banks in FATHER OF THE BRIDE. He has also acted with the Granbury Theatre Company as John Dickinson in 1776, Eric Swan in CASH ON DELIVERY, and Lloyd Dallas in NOISES OFF! and locally with the Carnegie Players as Aslan in LION...WARDROBE, Count Dracula in DRACULA, and Thomas Jefferson in 1776. He is the Theatre Arts Director at Alvarado High School and is a co-owner of Dance Across Cleburne with his wife, Rachel. He would like to thank Aaron for trusting him with this role again

This is Michael's tenth production with PlazaCo. He is excited to play the role of Dickens/Fred in this timeless story. His other favorite roles include Jonathan Forbes in Pillow Talk, Mr. Forbright in Cash on Delivery, and Mr. Wilson in Harvey. Michael teaches seventh and eighth grade English in FWISD and enjoys reading and studying history and the works of Shakespeare.

Rachel is thrilled to be an onstage part of A CHRISTMAS CAROL for the very first time. Her husband Luke Hunt and children John and Dora were all part of the cast 4 years ago. You may remember Rachel as a dancer in previous Plazaco shows such as CRAZY FOR YOU, GUYS AND DOLLS, and WHITE CHRISTMAS. She has also choreographed several shows here including CAMELOT, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, and the ballroom scene in CRAZY FOR YOU. When she is not playing with her friends here at Plazaco, Rachel owns and manages Dance Across Cleburne where she teaches social and competition ballroom dancing to local adults and teens. She would like to dedicate this performance to the precious Midkiff family and their beautiful son, Caleb.

A Christmas Carol will be Gene’s second performance with Plaza, the first being White Christmas in 2013. Previous theatrical experience includes leads in South Pacific, Paint Your Wagon, Godspell, Oklahoma and others. Non-theatrical venues include being a regular performer for several Texas Opries including Johnnie High Country Music Review, Grapevine, Stephenville and the Farr Best Theater. Other vocal performance venues include touring with several Southern Gospel quartets plus many solo performances and concerts. Gene is blessed with a wonderful wife, four amazing children and two beautiful grandsons, and is very grateful to the Plaza team for this fun, yet very professional experience.

With his appearance last Christmas in Plaza Theatre Company’s (PTC) production of WHITE CHRISTMAS, Cornils earned his white bathrobe as a member of the Plaza Twenty-Show Club with is 20th acting performance. With this Christmas production, Jay is performing in his 25th Plaza show, having appeared this year in CASH ON DELIVERY, THE KING AND I, CAMELOT, and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. He also served as assistant director for PTC’s beautiful production of ENCHANTED APRIL. However, he did not confine his artistic ventures this past season just to PTC. He served as Capt. EJ Smith in Greater Cleburne Carnegie Players production of TITANIC and in Granbury at the newly renovated Opera House in Mark Twain’s IS HE DEAD. Busy as he is, the retired educator from Colorado serves the Cleburne community as an ambassador for the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce and sings with the choir at the First United Methodist Church. Jay is supported in his busy life by his greatest blessing, his lovely and multi-talented wife.

Carly is honored to be a part of her first production at Plaza. It has been so much fun! Carly is in the 5th grade at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts. She has been seen throughout the metroplex since she was 6 years old and musical theater is her passion.
Favorite roles include ANNIE in Annie at Grand Prairie Arts Council, JACKIE in Cheaper by the Dozen at MainStage Theater, LAMB in Charlotte's Web at Theater Arlington, and OZ! at Theater Arlington.
She also plays the violin, tap dances, sings in the Children's Choir of Texas, and is a member of Casa Kids at Casa Mañana.
In her "free" time you can see her around the lake water-skiing with friends and family.
