This production marks the third time for Meredith take on the role of the most magical nanny. Meredith has been active for many years throughout the DFW area as an actor, opera singer, and music director, but some of her favorite performances have been right here on the Plaza stage. You may remember her as Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Marian in THE MUSIC MAN, Betty in WHITE CHRISTMAS, and MAE in Tuck Everlasting. She is also very proud of her work as music director for THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, for which she won a Column Award. Other favorite roles include Baker’s Wife in INTO THE WOODS, Mabel in PIRATES OF PENZANCE, Guenevere in CAMELOT, Amalia in SHE LOVES ME, and Luisa in ZORRO THE MUSICAL. Most recently, Meredith was privileged to create the role of Delia in the premiere of the children’s opera, STONE SOUP with the Fort Worth Opera. Much love to Tyson, her husband of 25 years!

Damson is so excited to be back on Plaza’s, Dudley Hall, Main Stage, with this show especially! He had the honor of being a part of Plaza’s TITANIC THE MUSICAL landing the role of Charles Clarke, R&H’s CINDERELLA landing the role of Jean Michel, and now MARY POPPINS landing the role of Bert. This is Damson’s dream role and he cannot wait to share his take one character with the audience. Matt's previous Plaza appearances include ZORRO, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, THE LITTLE MERMAID, MARY POPPINS, HEAVEN CAN WAIT, and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Matt was born and raised in Cleburne but moved away to attend Harvard University where he completed a degree in Computer Science. He performed regularly at several theatres in the Boston, Seattle, and New York City areas. He spent 9 years as a hedge fund trader outside of New York before moving back to Cleburne in 2015 to join the family business.

JaceSon is loving playing George Banks - a role much like himself in real life (not really!). But the challenge is a joy. Some other favorite roles have been as Harold Hill in THE MUSIC MAN, Adam Pontipee in SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS and Pap Fin in BIG RIVER for which he received the Column Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical. When not on stage or behind-the-scenes here at PlazaCo, JaceSon likes to spend his spare time watching classic movies, studying American history and spending time with his family who make everything worthwhile. Beckett couldn’t be more excited to be performing in his first Plaza Theatre Company production. You may have seen him previously with Plaza Jr. as Michael Darling in PETER PAN JR., one of his favorite roles. More recently, he was the Cat in The Hat, in SEUSSICAL KIDS at Second Star Theatre, and Charlie, in ELF with Granbury Theatre Company. His past roles include: one of the boys in BIG RIVER, a Cratchit in CHRISTMAS CAROL, and a member of the Lollipop Guild in WIZARD OF OZ with GTC. Some favorite past roles are Adelaide in GUYS AND DOLLS and Bloody Mary in SOUTH PACIFIC. Chris’ previous shows at PlazaCo THE MUSIC MAN, LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, and POLLYANNA. It is a privilege to work with so many wonderfully talented people on the PlazaCo stage. He is a native of Fort Worth and currently lives in Springtown. He studied Music Education at The University of North Texas. He toured in the 1980s with platinum recording artist Johnnie Taylor. He has also performed with B.B. King, Leann Rimes, and Monty McClinton. He was the praise team leader at several different churches in the Fort Worth area. Chris is also on the Board of Directors for Stars Theater Company, a children’s theatre in Bedford, where he has served as a vocal coach.

Some of her musical theatre experience includes playing Winnie Foster (TUCK EVERLASTING), Alice’s Daughter (BIG RIVER) and Yente (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF JR.) to name a few. Nevaeha is also the lead singer in the praise band ,Grace Evermore, and junior cover band, Electric Walrus. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball and basketball, playing instruments and singing, and spending time with family and friends. She would like to thank all the wonderful cast members and staff of Mary Poppins and would especially like to thank Tina Barrus, for giving her this opportunity!

Jonah (or JJ to his friends) is loving every minute of being a part of the magic of MARY POPPINS. He's also pleased to be performing in just his second Mainstage show here at PlazaCo after appearing as Oliver in OLIVER!. He is the sixth of seven Barrus children and is a great big brother to his youngest sibling Charlie. JJ loves to play video games and VR, watch funny videos and most of all to work with his big brother Cameron on lighting design. He is excited to be helping with the design for the upcoming Plaza Academy Summer Camp productions. He hopes you have a great time tonight at MARY POPPINS.

McKenzie is looking forward to being a part of this show. She has enjoyed working with the phenomenal cast and crew and growing in what she loves! Some of McKenzie’s favorite past productions include MATILDA with Plaza, Brigitta in THE SOUND OF MUSIC at the Texas Amphitheater, ANNIE KIDS & JR, Elsa in FROZEN KIDS with Plaza, and upcoming as Gabriella in HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR in Glen Rose. Aria was a featured dancer in ALADDIN JR. with Second StarTheatre Co. This is her fourth year to take ballet, tap, and hip hop. “I love my family.”

Charleston will be quick to tell you that this is his THIRD time in a Plaza Mainstage show as he first appeared as Boy in PlazaCo's summer 2021 production of TITANIC and then as an Orphan / Pickpocket in 2022's OLIVER!. Charlie is a precocious seven year old who loves to have fun and play with his brothers, sisters and friends. He's truly never met a stranger and loves to make new friends wherever he goes. He hopes to see you after the show to say "hi" and thanks you for coming to the show.

Tina is an energetic dynamo who oversees and handles many different aspects of the Plaza operation including as Director of Education at Plaza Academy, Costume Mistress at the Company and as at least co-Director of every Junior production presented by Plaza Jr. She also directs on the Plaza Mainstage as well and is ecstatic to be directing MARY POPPINS here after the success of CINDERELLA earlier in 2022. Tina was a 2018 recipient of the distinguished Freddy G Fellowship which offered her the opportunity of receiving training from Broadway professionals in the summer of 2018. She brings her extensive experience as well as this additional training to her directorship of MARY POPPINS which she's honored to be co-Directing with Tabitha Ibarra. She's also the loving mother of seven wonderful children, the grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters and the wife to JaceSon, her husband of 29 years.
