(Burl)
. Since I work on the programs here I am going to break protocol and write in the first person. As I look back on the past 16 months when we moved our families out here to start this brand new non-profit theater and now as I look at this wonderful building I am overwhelmed. When we did this show last year, our audiences were small. Did you know last year we had a performance where only three audience members showed up? Now as I am writing this the day before opening night we have 2 sold out shows and some of the best presales ever. I have to give credit to many people who have taken us under their wing and helped us along best they can. To the volunteers and sponsors, to the actors who donate their time and drive down here to do shows with us on their own nickel, to my loving wife and kids, to Jace and Tina and Barrus family, to all of you that showed up to watch our show, but most of all, to God who has blessed our lives greatly (Proverbs 3:6).

is performing in her first role. She was Stage Manager for CURIOUS SAVAGE and assisted with props for MY FAIR LADY here at the Plaza. Previously she worked as a stage hand for ANNIE in Conroe, TX. She has always loved the theatre and can never thank Darcy enough for giving her the opportunity to be a part of SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN. In her other life, she works for Devon Gas Services here in Cleburne, loves reading, traveling, old movies and dancing and, “someday”, will finish the novel she started years ago after living in Iran. As an Army brat, she says she has met lots of wonderful people, but none as incredibly talented and fun as those at the Plaza Theatre. She wishes to thank her daughter, Robyn, for encouraging her to pursue her dreams even when they seem “foolish”.
