BURL PROCTOR

is a retired teacher, retired USAF pilot and Vietnam veteran. He is a 2011 Column Award nominee and has received acting awards from various North Texas and German-American theaters. He is a producer and actor in independent TV, commercial films/videos and dinner theater and has performed in eighteen North Texas theaters. Some of Burl’s favorite roles include The Narrator/Mysterious Man in INTO THE WOODS, Henry Drummond in INHERIT THE WIND, Julian Nortrup in ON BORROWED TIME, Atticus Finch in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, The Proprietor in ASSASINS, Mr. Mushnik in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, Gov. Danforth in THE CRUCIBLE, Kris Kringle in MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET, Martin Vanderhof in YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU, Judge Turpin in SWEENEY TODD, The King in BIG RIVER, Ebenezer Scrooge in A LONE STAR CHRISTMAS CAROL and SCROOGE THE MUSICAL, Benjamin Franklin in 1776 and Nunzio in OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS. Aaron is excited to play "the role of a lifetime" here at Plaza Theatre. As a co-founding producer, you may remember Aaron from other roles such as Buffalo Bill in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, Christmas Present in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Horton in SEUSSICAL, or even Charlie Brown in YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN. Past directing credits here include ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, HARVEY, SEUSSICAL, TREASURE ISLAND, and INTO THE WOODS where he won BEST DIRECTOR FOR A MUSICAL in 2011 The Column Awards. Aaron has also won Column Awards for Best Scenic Design, and Best Sound Design, and the Rudy Seppy Volunteer Award. Aaron is a proud father of three wonderful kids and husband to Milette, also a co-founder here at PlazaCo. Aaron is also a web developer and has a lot of experience in audio engineering including working at Texas Stadium for the Dallas Cowboys in 1993-1995. Aaron would like to dedicate his performance to his father who claimed Fiddler on the Roof as his favorite movie of all time.

Tabitha is extremely excited to be a part of this wonderful production and to work on a piece that she has always dearly loved. Tabi is an eighteen year old who is graduating from Travis Academy of Fine Arts this spring. She plans to leave her darling theater family and move to Utah this fall where she will pursue a career in Music Therapy. You may recognize Tab from roles like Denise in SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN, Little Red in INTO THE WOODS, Liesl in SOUND OF MUSIC, and ensemble in countless other productions. You may also recognize her choreography from shows like ANNIE, JOSEPH...DREAMCOAT, and MUSIC MAN. Tabitha was honored to receive two awards at the Column Awards last year, the Ben Bretell youth award and the Chita Rivera dance award. Tabi sends love and thanks to her family and friends, and glory to God for helping her know who she is, and what He expects her to do. She dedicates this show to her own papa, for whom the "Chavela" choreography was created.

Monica is so excited to make her debut at PlazaCo! She is a freshman at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where she studies music and voice. At four months old, she took the stage in her first performance as Baby Jesus and has been on the stage ever since. Monica's most recent show was OLIVER at Casa Manana. Some of her favorite credits include CINDERELLA, Lucinda in INTO THE WOODS, Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Children's Chorus in JOSEPH...DREAMCOAT, and Hannah in SANTA CLAUS. When she is not singing, dancing or acting (which is not very often), she enjoys being with friends and family. is delighted to be back at The Plaza for her sixth show. Hailing from Ft. Worth, she has performed theatre and opera across Canada and the US. She is a graduate of Queen's University in Ontario with studies in theatre and classical music. Having won a Best Actress Column Award for her portrayal of the Witch in PlazaCo's INTO THE WOODS last season, she was recently seen as Miss Hannigan in ANNIE, Patricia Fodor in CRAZY FOR YOU, Anne Bonny in TREASURE ISLAND, and Marie in THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL. She has also performed such roles as Berta in IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA, the title role in CARMEN, the mother in THE CONSUL, Petra in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, and the messenger in MEDEA (for which she was an Irene Ryan scholarship region VI finalist), and has been singing with the Fort Worth Opera for four seasons. Neal is making his Plaza and theatrical debut, and is pleased to be participating. Although new to theatre, Neal is not new to performing. He grew up playing the cello. Along with six years of study at the SMU String Conservatory, Neal has also played with the Garland Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Summer Symphony, Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, as well as with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Neal has also played bass with several bands, one of which played by invitation at the Montreaux International Music Festival in the Summer of 1985, located in Montreaux, Switzerland. There he shared the stage with Stevie Ray Vaughn and Miles Davis, amongst others. He is glad to be a part of this production and hopes you have as much fun watching this as he has had performing in it.

He currently resides in Mineral Wells, but will be moving to Oklahoma City at the end of March to pursue a career with BNSF Railway. Some of her favorites include: Narrator in JOSEPH, Gladys in PAJAMA GAME, Abby in ARSENIC, Aunt Eller in OKLAHOMA, Golde in FIDDLER , Ouiser in STEEL MAGNOLIAS, and her all time favorite,the Char Woman in A CHRISTMAS CAROL. "No matter how old you get or how you look, there's always a part for a character actor...so you're never out of work" she says.
She's excited to be here in Texas and to be performing and directing with a host of her Barrus family, where she is involved with several other aspects of the theater when not on stage, including costume design and construction, set decoration, and cleaning out the greenroom.
