RACHEL BROWNING

is a seventh-grader at Christian Life Prep. This is her sixth production at Plaza, having been Annie in ANNIE, Marta and Louisa in SOUND OF MUSIC, Amaryllis in MUSIC MAN, and Alice in BYE BYE BIRDIE. She recently performed the role of Mary Lennox in SECRET GARDEN with Granbury Theatre Company, and she has also performed with Casa Mañana and the Fort Worth Opera. In her free time, Rachel enjoys ballet, playing piano, writing stories, math, drawing, painting, and making costumes.

Kelly is delighted to be back on the Plaza stage, having made her PTC debut as Christine in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS earlier this summer. A proud Baylor Theatre grad (sic 'em!) and a middle school teacher (yes, she is a little crazy), Kelly has also been seen as the 6th Exhibit/Ensemble in SIDESHOW at pfamily Arts in Plano and as Woman #2 in WAKING UP and Nurse Myrtle in DANI GIRL, both with Greyman Theatre Company. "Mama Kelly" has spent the last 5 summers working with the Much Ado About Shakespeare! Company in Ft. Worth, with favorite roles that include Beatrice in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and Rosalind in AS YOU LIKE IT. This one is for her students, whose smiling faces make each day brighter! Acts 4:12

Tabitha is so excited to be playing in her last show before she leaves to serve an LDS mission for 18 months. She couldn't have picked a better show to go out on! JAY A. CORNILS

Being a World War II baby-boomer, playing the part of Judge Harry Wilkins in this show is very special to Jay. His father was in the Philippines when the war broke out in December 1941 and was imprisoned when Bataan fell, surviving not only his imprisonment but also slave labor and transport in a Japanese Hell ship to Japan. Consequently, Jay is dedicating his performance to the memory of his father who was born September 15, 1916. Jay is also the author of THE CROSS OF LORRAINE, a romance novel that tells the story of the French Resistance during WWII, which is available at crossoflorraine.com. Jay and his loving wife Corlis invite you to enjoy your two-hour journey with us back into the middle years of the Twentieth Century.

This is Luke's 21st production at Plaza Theatre Company. He is happy to be playing a good guy again. He has appeared on the Plaza stage as Long John Silver in TREASURE ISLAND, Froggy LeSeuer in THE FOREIGNER (for which he won a 2013 Column Award for best featured actor in a non-equity play), Willie Conklin in RAGTIME, Anthony Drexel Biddle in THE HAPPIEST MILLIONAIRE, himself and a few other people in THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (abridged), and most recently as The Duke/Dr. Carrasco in MAN OF LA MANCHA. He has also acted with the Granbury Theatre Company as John Dickinson in 1776 and Eric Swan in CASH ON DELIVERY, and locally with the Carnegie Players as Aslan in LION...WARDROBE, Count Dracula in DRACULA, and Thomas Jefferson in 1776. Luke is the new Theatre Arts Director at Alvarado High School and is a co-owner of Dance Across Cleburne with his wife, Rachel.

is thrilled to be making her first appearance at Plaza and to be working with Taffy Geisel, again! She was recently seen in Stolen Shakespeare's production of GUYS AND DOLLS as General Cartwright. Recent roles at Artisan Center Theater include FIDDLER ON THE ROOF as Golde, BIG RIVER as Miss Watson & Aunt Sally, SCROOGE as Mrs. Fezziwig, PHANTOM as Carlotta, ANNIE as Miss Hannigan and SOUTH PACIFIC as Genevieve Quale. Other credits include ANNIE GET YOUR GUN as Annie, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF as Chava, OKLAHOMA as Laurie, 45 MINUTES FROM BROADWAY as Mary, SOUTH PACIFIC as Nellie, CINDERELLA as Fairy Godmother and many more! She holds a Bachelor of Music from The University of Texas, where she majored in Vocal Performance. She taught elementary music and theatre arts for many years before 'redirecting' in 2008. She now teaches musical theater and creative dramatics at Kids Who Care in Ft. Worth and CATS (Creative Arts Theater and School) in Arlington.

began performing and dancing when he joined the Consuming Fire drama team at Eastern Heights Church at age 12. Jesse enrolled in several theater-based classes at Travis Academy Of Fine Arts and has since performed with TAFA many times. His first community theatre role was as Hugo Peabody in Plaza's BYE BYE, BIRDIE. He liked it so much he decided to be on stage again tonight in DEAR RUTH.

Michael's favorite roles include Policeman in Ragtime at PTC, Oberon in A Midsummer's Night Dream at Loflin Middle School, and Kyle in Legally Blonde: The Musical at FWAFA. After more than 16 years off stage, Becki is excited to be making her debut at Plaza! DEAR RUTH has quickly become one of her favorite shows. Some of Becki's favorite roles in the past are Lucy in YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN and Ms. Willie in THE CURIOUS SAVAGE. She enjoys all things musical including singing, playing the piano and guitar. Becki would like to thank her amazing children - Izzie, Samuel and Taylor, "you are my world and the driving force and reason that I do everything I do. I love you all very much". A big thank you to McLain, "you made me believe in myself again and for that I will always love you." And last but definitely not least to my fellow cast members, Emily, Taffy and JTAM, "thank you, thank you, thank you, for all the direction and guidance and the hours of laughter. Dora is delighted to be performing in her 9th show at Plaza, having last appeared in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS and RAGTIME. She is a graduate of Alvarado High School where she played the Red Queen in ALICE IN WONDERLAND, Jessie in STILL LIFE, and Gertrude McFuzz in SEUSSICAL. Other favorite roles include Josie Kilbride in BY THE BOG OF CATS and Martha Gilbreth in CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN. She is also active in voiceover work and will appear in some upcoming anime series dubbed by FUNiMation Entertainment.

Past roles include Rosalia in WEST SIDE STORY and Margot Frank in THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK at Artisan Center Theater, and Ernestine in CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN, at Plaza Co. Scout has also been featured multiple times at Theater Arlington, Dance Theater Arlington and CATS. Scout is inspired by her Lord and Savior Jesus, Food, Optimism, Van Gogh, Red Bull and her crazy, wonderful friends.

Tammie is known in our little theater world as "Prop Momma". This name was attached to her years ago by a young man who could not remember her name, however he knew that she was one of the actor's Mom and that she did the props. He then began referring to her as that prop momma lady and the name "Prop Momma" has followed her ever since. She is also Plaza's Properties Manager and a member of our volunteer guild. She loves being able to use the creative talents the Lord has given her to serve Him while serving the community theater world. This show had some unique challenges that she had a lot fun attempting to create. Tammie would like to thank her producers for creating a family friendly environment to work in and Taffy for being an amazing director and friend. She would also like to thank her family for their support, patience, encouragement and love. To God be the glory!

Taffy is gleefully happy to be back in the director's chair here at Plaza. She's had great fun with DEAR RUTH, and wishes you could have enjoyed the laughter in the oh-too-funny rehearsal process. THE HAPPIEST MILLIONAIRE, ANNIE, AND SINGIN' IN THE RAIN were also great fun to direct. Taffy has repeatedly had the joy of playing Miss Myrtie in several of Plaza's SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN shows - and was also seen here in KISS AND TELL. Taffy is also a playwright, and has had the joy of bringing to life at Artisan A WRINKLE IN TIME, ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, PRINCE CASPIAN, and THE CHRISTMAS CAROL MIRACLE. Other beloved shows include THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE, SOUTH PACIFIC, and SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN.
