Hillard is a 30 year resident of Cleburne where he has had the great opportunity to raise his three children and share his time with his wife and eight grandchildren. He is a retired teacher and now keeps busy as a handyman. He has preformed in or built sets for over 25 productions with the local Greater Cleburne Carnegie Players. He has portrayed such characters as Atticus in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, Tin Man in OZ, Willie in SUNSHINE BOYS, Don Quixote in MAN OF LA MANCHA, Starbuck in RAINMAKER, The Beast in BEAUTY AND BEAST, Harold Hill in MUSIC MAN, and The Captain in SOUND OF MUSIC. couldn’t be happier to be revisiting her favorite role with such an amazing cast and production team! You may remember her from other performances here at Plaza such as Anna in THE KING AND I, Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Marguerite in THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, Baker’s Wife in INTO THE WOODS, and Marian Paroo in THE MUSIC MAN. Other recent roles include Martha Jefferson in 1776 and Mabel in PIRATES OF PENZANCE. Meredith’s first love is the opera stage, and she has performed several operatic roles professionally in venues including Fort Worth Opera, Opera East Texas, and Living Opera. Some favorite roles include Yum Yum in THE MIKADO, Adina in ELIXIR OF LOVE, Fiordiligi in COSI FAN TUTTE, and Donna Anna in DON GIOVANNI. Meredith was most recently seen on the concert stage as part of Fort Worth Opera’s “Frontiers” program, with whom she is a regular soloist. She is forever grateful for the support of her loving family and sends them all lots of hugs and kisses.

Rounding out a fun year of shows in Cleburne, Joel has mostly performed in the DFW area the last 8 years as the King in THE KING AND I, Cervantes/Quixote in MAN OF LA MANCHA, Frank in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, Erik in PHANTOM, Noah in THE ARK, Scrooge in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and Harold in THE MUSIC MAN! With no formal music or theatre training, a mechanical engineering degree from Southern Methodist supports his performance habits. He loves to sing with classic rock bands AeroMotion at Lockheed Martin, Self Righteous Bruthers and Maximum Acoustic and regularly trips out to Globe Life Park in Arlington to sing the Star Spangled Banner or God Bless America. Joel is thankful for the friendship and encouragement of Luke and Rachel and ALL the fine folks at Plaza. He is blessed to have the love and support of his best friend and teacher D'Aun and dedicates his 'knightly' performances to her.

Since first appearing on stage in Johnson County in the Carnegie Players 2005 production of SOUTH PACIFIC, Jay has appeared on stage in forty-three plays. CAMELOT marks his 23nd as an actor with PTC. He last appeared on the Plaza stage in THE KING AND I as the Kralahome; however, he last worked with PTC as assistant director on the beautiful production of ENCHANTED APRIL. Last year, he also appeared with the Granbury Theater Company as Juror #3 in 12 ANGRY MEN and as Thomson in 1776. The list of his other performances includes other fan favorites such as Elwood P. Dowd in HARVEY, Abe Goldman in BEAU JEST, and Grandfather in the Plaza’s award-winning production of RAGTIME. Jay has two published novels available online at crossoflorraine.com and litofangels.com. Jay lives in Cleburne with the greatest blessing of his life, his lovely and supportive wife Corlis.

This is Kathy’s third time to be part of the wonderful PlazaCo family. Previously she played Mrs. Peacock in CLUE THE MUSICAL and Mother Abbess in SOUND OF MUSIC. She has also worked with Grand Prairie Arts Council as Sophie/Annette/Frances Perkins in ANNIE, Vi Moore in FOOTLOOSE, Mistress Mary in BABES IN TOYLAND, and Lena Astor in the dinner theater production of WEDDING BELLS BLUES. Some of her other favorites from the past include roles in THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN, MUSIC MAN, I NEVER SAW ANOTHER BUTTERFLY, THE LOTTERY, TOM JONES, and SHOW BOAT. Kathy graduated from Howard Payne University where she was a vocal performance major. She has recorded one album of sacred music, has sung with the Dallas Symphony Chorus, and continues to work as a concert vocalist. She thanks Luke & Rachel Hunt and Dick Helmcamp for allowing her to be a part of this talented cast. Show number five for Nathan and he is thrilled that it is this one. Last seen in PlazaCo's New Year's Eve production of CASH ON DELIVERY, he's made the transition from modern day English Undertaker to Medieval era peasant turned knight. He has taken part in past Plaza productions such as Charles Dicken's A CHRISTMAS CAROL, where he played a Charity Man, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE as Officer Brophy and GUYS AND DOLLS as Liver Lips Louie. The stage is only one creative and artistic outlet for Nathan, as he has recently finished a novel and is attempting to find an agent to help him publish it. In time, he hopes to start working on a musical manuscript for both the big screen and the theater.

Dick is very happy to be back at PTC in the role of Music Director. He is a 32 year veteran of the Greater Cleburne Carnegie Players and this is his ninth show with Plaza as either music director or actor. Dick won the Column Award for his work as music director on AIDA at Plaza, which he lists as one of his favorite shows, along with THE FANTASTICKS for which he served as music director and director for GCCP just this past spring. Rachel is thrilled to be on the production staff for Camelot. She has choreographed for Plaza before in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, as well as choreographing productions at many other theatres. Rachel has also danced in several Plaza productions including WHITE CHRISTMAS, GUYS AND DOLLS, CRAZY FOR YOU, and JOSEPH...DREAMCOAT. Rachel loves working with her husband Luke Hunt as well as the entire Plaza production staff. It gives her a fun break from her regular job: running Dance Across Cleburne, Johnson county's only Ballroom and Country Western Dance studio (which is conveniently right down the street.) Katy Phillips is the daughter-in-law to Prop Mamma, Tammie Phillips. She is married to Ron Phillips, Jr. and the mother of one beautiful daughter, Karis. We are so happy to have Hazel as the rehearsal pianist for CAMELOT. She has helped us with auditions and rehearsals several times in the past. Miss Bell is an elementary music teacher for two schools in Cleburne Independent School District and serves the First United Methodist Church in Cleburne as organist and children's choir director. Hazel has been rehearsal pianist and music tech person for Carnegie Players for nine years.
