JOEL LAGRONE

Returning to Cleburne for a sophomore trip, Joel is a veteran of long running shows THE PROMISE and GRANBURY LIVE. He has mostly performed in the DFW area the last 8 years as Doc in FOR UNTO Y'ALL, Lancelot in CAMELOT, Frank in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, Erik in PHANTOM, Noah in THE ARK, Scrooge in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Harold in MUSIC MAN, and the Prince/Chorus in ROMEO AND JULIET! Degreed in mechanical engineering from Southern Methodist he supports his musical habits creating next generation fighters, helicopters and passenger planes alike for several major aerospace contractors. He loves to sing with classic rock bands and trip out to the Ballpark in Arlington to sing the Star Spangled Banner or God Bless America. Joel is thankful for the friendship and encouragement of Soni and Jodie and all the fine folks at Plaza. He is blessed to have the love and support of his best friend and teacher D'Aun and dedicates his 'kingly' performance to her.

is so happy to be back on the Plaza stage! You may remember her from other performances here at Plaza such as Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Marguerite in THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, Baker’s Wife in INTO THE WOODS, and Marian Paroo in THE MUSIC MAN. Other recent roles include Martha Jefferson in 1776, Guenevere in CAMELOT, and Mabel in PIRATES OF PENZANCE. Meredith has degrees in vocal performance from Abilene Christian University and Boston University, and she has performed several operatic roles professionally in venues including Fort Worth Opera, Opera East Texas, and Living Opera. Some favorite roles include Yum Yum in THE MIKADO, Adina in ELIXIR OF LOVE, FIORDILIGI in Cosi Fan Tutte, and Donna Anna in DON GIOVANNI. As always, she sends lots of love to her wonderful and supportive family.

Since first appearing on stage in Johnson County in the Carnegie Players 2005 production of SOUTH PACIFIC, Jay has appeared on stage in forty-two plays. THE KING AND I marks his 22nd with PTC. He last appeared on the Plaza stage in CASH ON DELIVERY as Uncle George. Last year, he also appeared with the Granbury Theater Company as Juror #3 in 12 ANGRY MEN and as Thomson in 1776. The list of his other performances includes other fan favorites such as Elwood P. Dowd in HARVEY, Abe Goldman in BEAU JEST, Al Lewis in THE SUNSHINE BOYS and Grandfather in the Plaza’s award-winning production of RAGTIME. David is ecstatic to be a part of such a wonderful cast. He is a sixth grader at Travis Academy of Fine Arts. David studies acting and dance at Plaza Academy, and is a part of Lollipup's Roundup. He also takes voice with Carlene Wadley, and drama at Texas Junior Theatre. David has also been a Casa Kid. Some of his favourite roles at Plaza have been Randolph in BYE BYE BIRDIE, Little Boy in RAGTIME, Kurt in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, and Winthrop in THE MUSIC MAN. Angela is from West, TX and has been bringing smiles to the stage for the last 10 years. She has appeared on the Granbury stage "Barefoot in the Park" as Cori Bratter, "Fiddler on the Roof" as Shaindel, "The Foreigner" as Catherine Simms, "All Shook Up" chorus, "Steel Magnolias" as Truvy, and most recently "A Christmas Carol" as Fred's Wife plus many more! Angela is a former Collegiate National Dance Champion/Choreographer and teaches Jazz and Hip Hop classes at the Plaza Theatre Academy. She is a loving mother of two children Garrette King who plays Center for the Granbury Pirates and Victoria Burkey who shares her love for the theater. This is Rylee's 4th BIG show with Plaza Theatre. Her favorite so far was playing Marta in Sound of Music. Last summer she enjoyed playing Kaa, the Snake, in Jungle Book. Rylee has taken voice lessons with David Anivitarte in Keene for 4 years. She has been in Advanced Show Stoppers for 3 years and takes Tap Dance Classes at Plaza Academy, too. She likes to sing, tap dance, read, and play computer games. Thanks Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Papa for the rides to practice.

VICTORIA BURKEY

Victoria is 8 and is a 3rd grader at Mambrino Elementary in Granbury. She loves the theater and has previous performances at the Opera House such as Lillie in "Cheaper by the Dozen", one of the Bailey Children in the Christmas musical "It's a Wonderful Life", Fiddle Stix the cat in "Pirates of the Caribbean", Anyshe Sweet in "The Big Toy" at the Nut House Dinner Palace Theatre, and her first appearance on the GTC stage were in "Fiddler on the Roof" as Sprintze and "A Christmas Carol" as Katherine Cratchit. Victoria is an A honor roll student and has received the Citizenship Award for being a great student and role model multiple times. She is a swimmer for the Granbury Seals Team and loves gymnastics, softball, dancing, singing, and to hit golf balls in the back yard. She hopes one day to become a Veterinarian Actress/Fashion Model that drives an Ice Cream Truck!

Soni and Jodie began their collaboration directing productions with SAVIOR OF THE WORLD at the Conference Center Theater in Salt Lake City. Since that time they have co-directed several productions including GUYS AND DOLLS, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, ALL SHOOK UP, and now THE KING AND I. In addition, Soni has directed and musical directed over 50 productions including JOSEPH.......DREAMCOAT, OKLAHOMA, SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, SECRET GARDEN, THE MUSIC MAN, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, GOOD MAN......CHARLIE BROWN, CARNIVAL, SOUTH PACIFIC, STEEL MAGNOLIAS, THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN, ANNIE, BIG RIVER, CHESS, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN AND WEST SIDE STORY.

Tina has loved designing and creating costumes for this beautiful musical and is grateful to have had the help of so many in getting these costumes ready. She has received multiple Column Awards for her costume design work and has again been nominated this year for her design of WHITE CHRISTMAS. Other favorite designs include RAGTIME, THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL and WILL RODGERS FOLLIES. She always sends a shout out to her lovely children who are an inspiration to her in everything she does.

Ruth Ann is honored and most appreciative to be taking part in her 7th production here at Plaza.You may have seen her in other shows , on stage as Dora in DEAR RUTH, Frau Schmidt in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Shaindel (Motel's mother) in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and Ruth Ann also appeared in RAGTIME and A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Most recently she had the wonderful experience of stage managing the popular, sold out, critically acclaimed WHITE CHRISTMAS. It is a thrill to watch a show come together and Ruth Ann is in awe of the dedication, hard work and amazing talent of the entire cast, crew, directors and production team of THE KING AND I. Tammie is thrilled to begin her third season designing the properties for Plaza Theatre Company! Tammie is married, has four amazing sons, 2 terrific daughter-in-loves and one precious granddaughter. DANA SILER

Dana has been on the PlazaCo stage several times in shows such as CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN as Ernestine, A CHRISTMAS CAROL as Letucua Fezziwig and others. Dana also enjoys playing tennis on the Cleburne High School Varsity Tennis Team, listening to music, and making brownies for her brothers Ryan and Mitch. Did I mention that she is the daughter to PlazaCo producers Aaron and Milette Siler? Yep, she's that too!
