Brian is thrilled to be taking part in his second Plaza show. You may have seen him here before when he played Horton the Elephant in SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL during the summer of 2014. Many of Mr. Lawson's recent roles have been with the Granbury Theatre Company at the Granbury Opera House. Most recently Brian portrayed George Banks in MARY POPPINS. He also had the great honor making his directorial debut with SWEENEY TODD in which he also played the role of Beadle Bamford. Some of Brian's other roles include Aldopho in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, King Arthur in SPAMALOT, Tevye the Dairyman in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, Thenardier in LES MISERABLES, and Dr Neville Craven in THE SECRET GARDEN. Brian has also had the pleasure of being in THE PROMISE in Glen Rose, where he played Matthew, Herod, and Peter. Sure, she did a little theatre in high school, but that was over 20 years ago! Most of the last 20 years have been spent singing on stage at churches, but not in theatres. Courtney currently serves as the Worship Minister at Retta Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas and is so grateful to her family and friends for supporting her on this crazy adventure. Matt is thrilled to be back on the Plaza stage after playing Georg in SHE LOVES ME. Matt was born and raised in Cleburne but moved away 17 years ago to attend Harvard University. He performed regularly at several commercial and community theatres in the Boston, Seattle, and New York City areas. Favorite past roles include Anthony in SWEENEY TODD, Lumiere in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Scarecrow in WIZARD OF OZ, Pharaoh in JOSEPH...DREAMCOAT, and Don in A CHORUS LINE. He spent 9 years as a hedge fund trader outside of New York before moving back to Cleburne last year to join the family business.

Although this is his first musical theater production, Jade Rudolph has lived a very musical life. He grew up singing in churches and festivals all over Texas and was trained by his mother who was a professional gospel singer. After high school he toured with a rock and roll band out of Denver. He then attended Western State Colorado University to study vocal performance with an emphasis in Opera. After college, he went on to audio engineering school and started an artist promotion and management company called Rudaroo Records. This spawned a radio show based in Denver which carried an average of 200k listeners a month. In an effort to expand Rudaroo Records, he moved to Stephenville, Texas where his family is located. He is currently the manager for, Stephenville area band, Lank and the Shanks and is working on writing and recording his own album. Amanda is excited about her debut as an Ensemble Member in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at PlazaCo. She is currently a dance and musical theater student at Plaza Academy. Amanda performed in the Ensemble for Plaza Academy's 2015 CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS. Her other performances have been in local summer theater camps. In 2014, Amanda performed as a Troll in FROZEN at the Joshua Owl Theater Camp. She also performed as the Magic Mirror at Joshua Owl Theater Camp in 2015. Amanda is a 3rd Grader at Plum Creek Elementary in Joshua. When she is not performing, Amanda is an avid soccer player and loves being Lucie’s big sister. If Amanda had a choice of roles in Beauty and the Beast she would immediately choose the role of Gaston. I want thank the directors for giving me chance to do this. Soni and Jodie are excited to direct such a wonderful cast in this production. They have directed several shows here at Plaza including FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, THE KING AND I, FATHER OF THE BRIDE, THE WIZARD OF OZ, and the soon to be HEAVEN CAN WAIT in a few months. Soni has directed too many productions to count but its probably reaching nearly one hundred. She enjoys the process of putting productions together from the outset to reach a final conclusion of excellence on stage. When not directing, you'll see her working on props, costumes, set decoration or playing in a production such as last seasons KISS AND TELL, where she has been nominated for a column award. Jodie assists in the box office and in building the sets for the productions, along with having performed in several productions including HARVEY, JOSEPH....DREAMCOAT, WHITE CHRISTMAS, SHREK THE MUSICAL, KISS AND TELL, and THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
