has appeared on the Plaza stage as Alice in SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, Ancestor in THE ADDAMS FAMILY, and Corliss Archer in KISS AND TELL, for which she won a 2016 Column Award for Best Actress in a Play Non-Equity. Emma is an Equity Membership Candidate and also a 2016/2017 Texas Young Masters arts award recipient, and has appeared in several regional productions including Snow White in SNOW WHITE & THE PRINCE, Wendy in PETER PAN, Bird Girl in SEUSSICAL, JR, and CHILDREN OF EDEN at Casa Mañana; Louisa Von Trapp in THE SOUND OF MUSIC and Bluma in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at Lyric Stage; and Margaret Moore in 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS at Dallas Children's Theatre. She is the Executive Assistant to David Peterson State Farm in Grand Prairie Texas, and is happily married to her high school sweetheart. Recently seen at PlazaCo as Belle/fiddle player in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Ayah in THE SECRET GARDEN, Susan in BIG RIVER, and Sarah in SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS. Other significant roles include Adele in DIE FLEDERMOUS, and Yum Yum in THE MIKADO at OBU. Matt was born and raised in Cleburne but moved away to attend Harvard University where he completed a degree in Computer Science. He performed regularly at several professional and community theatres in the Boston, Seattle, and New York City areas. He spent 9 years as a hedge fund trader outside of New York before moving back to Cleburne in 2015 to join the family business.

A regular face on the around here, Jay A Cornils is performing in his 35th Plaza show. With credits as stage manager for the 2013 production of SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN and assistant director for 2014 Column Award Winning production of ENCHANTED APRIL, Jay has worked directly in over a third of Plaza’s 105 productions. Of late here at PTC, he appeared in MARY POPPINS and THE MAN WITH THE POINTED TOES. However, his best performance in 2016 may have been as Henry Potter in the Carnegie Players Christmas production of IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Jay is the author of two published novels, The Cross of Lorraine (crossoflorraine.com) and A Litany of Angels. McLaine Meachem has been looking forward to this show since its announcement! This will be the 12th production McLaine has happily participated in at Plaza Co! McLaine is a delightfully enthusiastic and talented young lady. Though she enjoys Musical Theatre a great deal, her passion is classical ballet. She has studied ballet for 13 years and is a proud ambassador for Brown Girls Do Ballet with which she has had the pleasure of traveling and representing for the last year. She is also a company member of the Dallas Dance Conservatory. She has enjoyed studying ballet at Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Ballet Center of Fort Worth and was also a company member of Ballet Frontier of Texas. She has had the incredible opportunity to accept a scholarship and train last summer at Joffrey in Chicago! She was also accepted to train with Harlem Dance Theatre. She is training to become a Prima Ballerina and hopes to one day open her own studio after a long and fulfilling dance career.

Ruth Ann has also been privileged to stage manage MARY POPPINS, THE SECRET GARDEN, HEAVEN CAN WAIT, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SHREK THE MUSICAL, THE WIZARD OF OZ, FATHER OF THE BRIDE, CAMELOT, THE KING AND I and WHITE CHRISTMAS here at Plaza. She has also appeared in MARY POPPINS and stage managed THE DROWSY CHAPERONE at Granbury Theatre Company as well as costuming 1776, IS HE DEAD and THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES there with he accomplished daughter Emily. Nicole Wheat is the owner of Dance Fusion in Alvarado and the director of the Divine Dance Company competition group. She has been teaching dance for over 22 years and has a BA in Dance from Texas Woman's University. Nicole was the assistant choreographer for Plaza Theatre's, MARY POPPINS, which was her first musical theater experience.

Soni and Jodie are happy to be back in the directorial chair after directing two productions last season at Plaza (Beauty and the Beast and the Column nominated for Best Play HEAVEN CAN WAIT). Other production they have directed since arriving in Texas in 2011 include FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, THE KING AND I, THE WIZARD OF OZ, FATHER OF THE BRIDE, SECRET GARDEN (Granbury Theatre Company) and ALL SHOOK UP (Granbury Theatre Company). Soni keeps busy at the theatre either acting, with props, costumes, set dressing and various other tasks when not directing. You'll see Jodie at the Box Office, building sets, helping Soni with props and helping with whatever needs to be done. A big shout out to a marvelous cast and crew for MERMAID. You are a delight to work and be associated with.
