MEREDITH BROWNING

Meredith has been active for many years throughout the DFW area as an actor, opera singer, and music director, but some of her favorite performances have been right here on the Plaza stage. You may remember her as Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Marian in THE MUSIC MAN, Betty in WHITE CHRISTMAS, and the title role in MARY POPPINS.. She is also very proud of her work as music director for THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, for which she won a Column Award. Other favorite roles include Baker’s Wife in INTO THE WOODS, Mabel in PIRATES OF PENZANCE, Guenevere in CAMELOT, Amalia in SHE LOVES ME, and Luisa in ZORRO THE MUSICAL. While 2020 has been a bit slow for performing, Meredith was privileged to create the role of Delia in the outdoor premiere of the children’s opera, STONE SOUP with the Fort Worth Opera. Much love to Tyson, her husband of almost 25 years!

Jarrett Self is an Oklahoma native, graduating from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2017 with a BFA in Musical Theatre. While attending, he received multiple honors, including Best Actor in a Play, Best Actor in a Musical, and Vocalist of the Year. He has performed with numerous theaters such as the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, Casa Mañana, the National Theatre for Children, and Granbury Theatre Company. Some of his favorite acting credits include: Davey (NEWSIES), Jinx (FOREVER PLAID), Jason (Euripides’ MEDEA), Malcolm/Porter (MACBETH), Tranio (THE TAMING OF THE SHREW), and Alfred P. Doolittle (MY FAIR LADY).

Nevaeha Wilson is ecstatic to have the opportunity to be playing Winnie Foster in TUCK EVERLASTING! This is Nevaeha’s first leading role at Plaza Theatre CO. and she is honored to have been invited to play this part. She has been welcomed by a loving and supportive cast, who are also very talented. She has learned so much from them and is excited to learn and grow even more. Some of her favorite past production roles have included: a Nubian in AIDA, Jasmine in ALADDIN KIDS, and Tiger Lily in PETER PAN Jr. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing music, singing in her bands: Electric Walrus and Grace Evermore, playing sports, being out in nature , spending time with friends and family, and playing video games. She would like to thank everyone for being patient and kind to her, and she would especially like to thank her parents and siblings for doing their best to work around her busy schedule, driving her places, and for bearing through her endless singing and rehearsing ;).

Ruth is overjoyed to be back on stage as Winnie Foster, a dream role for her. She was most recently seen at Plaza as Matilda in MATILDA the MUSICAL, Annie in ANNIE JR, and James in JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH. Other favorite roles include Kate in ANNIE and Hortensia in MATILDA at Casa Manana; Molly in ANNIE, Amaryllis in THE MUSIC MAN, Jane Banks in MARRY POPPINS, and Young Anna in FROZEN JR at Plaza. Ruth lives in Granbury and is active in school and sports. She is a current Plaza Academy student and trains with Ashley Greene and Shannah Rae vocal studio. This is Luke's 54th production with Plaza Theatre Company and 11th show as a director. He has appeared as an actor at Plaza most recently in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in Plaza’s streaming production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. He received the 2019 Column Award for Best Actor in a Play Non Equity for Atticus Finch in Plaza’s production of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. He is the Theatre Arts Director at Alvarado High School. He is a co-owner of Dance Across Cleburne with his wife, Rachel.

Tina is one of the co-founders of Plaza Theatre Company and has costumed well over 100 productions since Plaza opened in 2007, but she rarely gets the chance to shine on stage. With TUCK EVERLASTING she is getting to take part in her first theater love which is performance. Plaza patrons will remember her some of her previous favorite roles as Lina Lamont in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN or as Rose in ENCHANTED APRIL. She and husband JaceSon are the proud parents of seven great children and the grandparents of two wonderful granddaughters.

Through the years Kathy has played on the Plaza stage many times. Some of her favorite roles at Plaza have been: Edith Wilkins in DEAR RUTH, Maude Atkinson (Column Nominee) in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, Mrs. Peacock in CLUE, Mother Abbess in SOUND OF MUSIC, Marmee in LITTLE WOMEN, Glinda in WIZARD OF OZ, Marilla in ANNE OF GREEN GABLES. Miss Andrew, the evil nanny, in MARY POPPINS. Additional roles include: Alice Beinecke (Column Nominee) in ADDAMS FAMILY, Mrs. Ellie Banks in FATHER OF THE BRIDE, Penelope Sycamore in YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU. Kathy has read the story of the Tuck family several times over the years as her children, and now her grandchildren, have read the book in school. Gavin is very excited to be playing Hugo in TUCK EVERLASTING! Through quarantine, Gavin performed in several online cabarets, the junior production MADAGASCAR JR, and the summer camp THE ADDAMS FAMILY SCHOOL EDITION. Prior to quarantine, Gavin played such roles as Bruce in MATILDA, Pugsley in THE ADDAMS FAMILY and Dill in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Eden grew up on the Plaza stage and has been appearing in productions here since she was 6 years old. She adored playing Ariel in THE LITTLE MERMAID, Teen Anne in ANNE OF GREEN GABLES and Boots in NEWSIES THE MUSICAL among other roles. Eden has been living in Utah for much of the past year and just finished a production of FREAKY FRIDAY at Terrace Plaza Playhouse where she played Savanna. She's a dancer at heart though and loves getting to perform once again with TUCK EVERLASTING.

PlazaCo was founded at almost the very same time that Mimi was born so the theater has been her second home since she was a baby. She has loved playing Mary Lennox in THE SECRET GARDEN, Junie B. Jones in JUNIE B. JONES JR. and Scout Finch in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD for which she received the Best Actress Column Award (non-Equity) in 2018. Though she is the fifth of seven Barrus children, she is the oldest still living at home and takes on oldest child duties with her little brothers JJ and Charlie quite often. With TUCK EVERLASTING Mimi is making her Choreographing debut together with sister Tabitha Ibarra and she loves that you are getting to see their shared work on this show. Enjoy!

As one of the original founding producers at Plaza Theatre Company, JaceSon can't begin to describe what a thrill it is to be able to create and present live theater once again. He's been a part of all 141 productions offered at PlazaCo in some capacity since the company's inception in 2007 and feels honored to be able to direct this homecoming production of TUCK EVERLASTING. He has directed more than a few productions that have been on the PlazaCo boards, among them WHITE CHRISTMAS, WEST SIDE STORY, ENCHANTED APRIL and as co-Director of AIDA for which he received the Best Director Column Award non-Equity in 2019. JaceSon and his wife of 28 years still love being parents the most and their seven children bring mounds of joy into their lives so JaceSon sends his abiding love to Tabitha, Parker, Cameron, Eden, Miranda, Jonah Jaxon and Charleston.

Megan is a Filipino-American mezzo-soprano with a passion for music education, storytelling, and advocating for authentic cultural representation in media. She is so excited to be back on the Dudley (indoor) stage, having last performed in Plaza's outdoor film production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Her favorite Plaza roles include Florika in THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, Anita in WEST SIDE STORY (Column Award Nominee), Nikki Crandall/Helsa Wenzel in THE MUSICAL COMEDY MURDERS OF 1940, and The Tallest Box in WHITE CHRISTMAS. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Choral Music Education from The University of Texas at Austin-Butler School of Music, and her music directing credits include SHREK THE MUSICAL, CHILDREN OF EDEN JR, and GTK...FOOTLOOSE. She has won Column Awards for her work on ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, WEST SIDE STORY, and NEWSIES THE MUSICAL, as well as choreography awards at the Junior Theatre Festival for MARY POPPINS JR, THE LION KING JR, and SEUSSICAL JR. Along with working for Plaza Theatre Company, Tabitha enjoys running her own Private Vocal Studio. Tabitha’s favorite role is wife to Saúl and mommy to Gemma and Nova.
