MEREDITH BROWNING

is delighted to be bringing the magical nanny to life once more, having played Mary Poppins last year at Granbury Theatre Company. You may remember Meredith from her recent PlazaCo performances of Lily in SECRET GARDEN, Amalia in SHE LOVES ME, Guenevere in CAMELOT, Anna in THE KING AND I, and Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Meredith’s first love is the opera stage, and she has performed several operatic roles professionally in venues including Fort Worth Opera, Opera East Texas, and Living Opera. Some favorite roles include Mabel in PIRATES OF PENZANCE, Yum Yum in THE MIKADO, Adina in ELIXIR OF LOVE, Fiordiligi in COSI FAN TUTTE, and Donna Anna in DON GIOVANNI. Meredith performs regularly with the Fort Worth Opera, on both the Bass Hall stage and as part of their “Frontiers” program, a showcase for new operas. She is forever grateful for the support of her loving family and sends them all lots of hugs and kisses. Also a warm thanks to her carpool buddies Bird Woman, Miss Brill, and Miss Smythe.

Matt is thrilled to be back on the Plaza stage after recently playing Joe in HEAVEN CAN WAIT, Gaston in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and Georg in SHE LOVES ME. Matt was born and raised in Cleburne but moved away 17 years ago to attend Harvard University. He performed regularly at several commercial and community theatres in the Boston, Seattle, and New York City areas. Favorite past roles include Anthony in SWEENEY TODD, Lumiere in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and Pharaoh in JOSEPH...DREAMCOAT. He spent 9 years as a hedge fund trader outside of New York before moving back to Cleburne in 2015 to join the family business.

This is Chris Wagner’s first production at Plaza Theatre, and he is delighted to be performing this role for you today. Originally from St. Louis area, Chris caught the acting bug while playing keyboards in the pit for a production of CAMELOT. He quickly decided that he wanted to be on the stage and joined the next year’s production of HELLO, DOLLY! He has starred in productions of CAROUSEL, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, OKLAHOMA! GODSPELL, JANE EYRE and INTO THE WOODS around Missouri and Texas. When not on stage, Chris teaches Junior High School choir in Arlington, T and sings with the Arlington Master Chorale. He thanks his parents for always supporting him in his artistic endeavors.

He has appeared on the Plaza stage as Long John Silver in TREASURE ISLAND, Froggy LeSeuer in THE FOREIGNER, Stanley Banks in FATHER OF THE BRIDE, and most recently as William Gillette in THE GAME'S AFOOT and had the pleasure to serve as director for SHREK THE MUSICAL and THE SECRET GARDEN. He has also appeared locally as Sweeney Todd in the Granbury Theatre Company production of SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET. He is the Theatre Arts Director at Alvarado High School and is a co-owner of Dance Across Cleburne with his wife, Rachel.

When Courtney told people that she was playing the prickly Mrs. Brill, they all had the same reaction: She must have been typecast. While that could very well have been the case, she is, nonetheless, happy to be returning to the Plaza stage for her second show with this theatre company. Earlier this year she played another cockney cook, Mrs. Potts in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST here at Plaza Co. In between those shows she played a comically sadistic version of the Narrator in INTO THE WOODS with the Carnegie Players and assistant directed STEEL MAGNOLIAS at that theatre as well. Courtney would like to thank her husband and children for putting up with her crazy schedule and her parents for all of the extra childcare. You're the best people!

Having played a number of comedic roles over the years, mostly in shows at his old high school in Burleson, it's apparent that nothing delights him more than making others laugh, and this show has given him yet another chance to do so.

After taking the summer off, Jay returns to the Plaza stage having last been seen as Antonio and the Second Watchman in Cleburne’s Second Annual Shakespeare in the Park presentation of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. Also, previously this year, Jay appeared as Felix in the riotous Sherlock Holmes’ Murder Mystery/Comedy THE GAMES AFOOT and as Mr. Jordan in the classic HEAVEN CAN WAIT, both of which were presented by the Plaza Theatre Company. In between those two shows he appeared as Muchnik at the Granbury Opera House in the Granbury Theatre Company’s performance of THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORORS. MARY POPPINS marks Jay’s 33rd show with PTC. Jay is the author of two published novels, The Cross of Lorraine and A Litany of Angels. In all things, Jay is supported by his greatest blessing, his lovely and gifted wife Corlis.

Most recently Nick has performed as the villain Haman in ESTER: THE MUSICAL at Christ Church Fort Worth. Nicholas previously attend TeSa, (Texas School of the Arts), and performed in various Christmas and Spring productions. One of these included the role of Scat Cat in ARISTOCATS. Currently Nicholas attends FWAFA, (Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts). He is also a part of the highly accredited Texas Boys Choir, which is known internationally!

She has also worked with GPAC and Granbury Theatre Company. She studied vocal performance at Howard Payne University, holds a Master’s degree from SWBTS, and has recorded one album. This will be her third time to play the role of Miss Andrew in less than a year! She appeared in the ensemble this summer in the Greater Cleburne Carnegie Player's production of INTO THE WOODS and she's enjoying being back in Cleburne again for Mary Poppins. Kenlie is excited to be apart of the ensemble group for MARY POPPINS at PlazaCo. You may have also seen her in BEAUTY AND BEAST as Chip by PlazaCo. She has been apart of 101 DALMATIANS, CINDERELLA, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR., CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS AND ALADDIN productions by Plaza Academy. She is in the 6th grade at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts where she enjoys choir, dance and musical theater. She also enjoys tap, hip hop and musical theater at Plaza Academy. She will be joining a group of kids from Plaza Academy who will be performing Seussical at Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. She loves making up dances, going to her brother's football games, and spending time with her family. Thanks to my Parents, Ms.Amy and Robin for driving me to rehearsals.

This is Lily's second Plaza main stage performance. She is excited to dance and sing with her Plaza friends. Past performances include Mary Lennox in SECRET GARDEN, and Plaza Academy performances Gabriella Montez in HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR., Scotty dog in 101 DALMATIONS, and ensemble in PETER PAN, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, and CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS. Lily is part of the JTF cast of Plaza Academy students going to Atlanta, Ga in January performing SEUSICAL THE MUSICAL, JR. Lily is a 6th grader at Elder Elementary in Joshua.

Natalie is so happy to be in her second big production in Cleburne. She appeared in the ensemble in Cleburne Carnegie Player's production of Into the Woods with her mom, and she is having a blast again with her mom in Mary Poppins! Natalie performed on the Plaza stage in Cinderella Kids last Summer and she's happy to be back this year! She has also appeared in various roles in Ben Stevenson's production of the Nutcracker at Bass Hall for the past three years. Natalie would like to thank her family for being so supportive of her budding theatrical journey!

Nicole is the owner of Dance Fusion in Alvarado. She has enjoyed teaching dance to children of all ages for about 22 years! She is also an art and preschool teacher at Holy Cross Christian Academy. This is Nicole's first theatre production to be a part of and it has been a wonderful experience! "I have learned so much and met some pretty fantastic people!" Although they have been life partners for 22 years, Luke and Rachel have only recently begun directing together. They co-directed SECRET GARDEN at Plazaco this year. You may remember other shows that they've worked on as a director/choreographer team including SHREK THE MUSICAL, CAMELOT, and DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS at Plazaco, as well as LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and 1776 at Granbury Theatre Company.
