Auditions are: March 2nd thru March 14th, 2026
Plaza Theatre Company is pleased to announce that audition video submissions for its upcoming production of SEUSSICAL JR are now open. This notice is a call for video submissions to audition for the show.
AUDITION INFORMATION -
Those who wish to audition must submit their completed video by 11:59pm on Saturday March 14th. The video should include the reading of any of the attached dialog sides in the style of the character you are auditioning for as well as the singing of 32 bars of music in the style of the show. The auditioner should submit the video as part of filling out this Google Form to audition:

Performers of any ethnicity, race, color, sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, and who are differently abled are welcome and encouraged to audition. We are actively seeking all ethnicities for all roles. ALL ROLES ARE OPEN.
Should the Production Team need to see anyone further for a Callback Audition, those who will be invited to attend will be notified by Wednesday March 18th at 9:00pm. The Callback audition will be held the evening of March 19th at 5:00pm at the Plaza Academy, 221 S. Mill St., Cleburne, TX. Everyone who submits an audition video will be notified of casting decisions regardless of whether or not they are called back or cast.
The Production Team for SEUSSICAL JR includes Tabitha Ibarra as Director and Skye McGraw as Asst. Director with Todd Barham as the Musical Director, Kaylee Cordell as Asst Musical Director, Emmie Vaughn as Choreographer, Morgan Atwell as Asst Choreographer, Jade Stowe as Stage Manager and Pablo Moreno as Asst Stage Manager. JaceSon P. Barrus, Tina Barrus and G. Aaron Siler are the Plaza Theatre Company Producers.
PRODUCTION INFORMATION -
SEUSSICAL JR will play on Saturday evenings at 4pm and 6pm opening on Saturday April 25th and playing thru Saturday May 9th. Rehearsals will commence on or around Monday March 30th.

SEUSSICAL JR “Oh, the thinks you can think!” when SEUSSICAL JR bursts to life on stage in a fantastical musical adventure for the whole family!
Join Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all your favorite Dr. Seuss characters as they leap from the page to the stage in this whimsical tale about friendship, courage, and standing up for what’s right. When Horton discovers a tiny world of Whos living on a speck of dust, he must protect them while also caring for an abandoned egg left by the mischievous Mayzie La Bird. Through laughter, music, and heart, Horton proves that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”
With its colorful cast, toe-tapping score, and boundless imagination, SEUSSICAL JR is a joyful celebration of the power of believing in yourself, and in others.
